Ford also stamped the number without the prefix at the top of the LH frame rail near the kick up for the rear axle. ![]() I beleive this is the only car avaiable in vietnam.įord usually stamped the 18- prefix on the serial number located on the top of the LH frame rail near the steering box mount. If you still have the original transmission the number will appear on the top of the transmission just above the little inspection door. Well it looks like you have a correct serial number for a 1940 Ford only the guy stamping it seems to have forgotten his 18- stamp. But my number is *57028I4*.Someone help me and explain to me.
